about

This third album was made basically with female musicians: La Zorra Zapata, Ati Lane, Silvana Tello and Budapest. There are technicals credits by electronic producers Ale Hop and Maribel Tafur. There also voices by Olinda Silvano and Silvia Ricopa, both Shipibo-konibo artists who sang in their native language.

Each track it's inspired by outstanding women in the shadows or looked down by patriarchy like Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti (Nigerian educator, suffragist, and women's rights activist), Olivia Arévalo (Shipibo-conibo native, advocate of cultural and environmental rights, artisan and healer), Katherine Johnson (African American mathematician whose calculations of orbital mechanics eased the crewed spaceflights), Utako Okamoto (Japanese scientist who discovered the treatment for post-partum haemorrhage. Her studies were hampered by males that boycotted her for decades), Emma Willard (American woman's education activist who founded the first school for women's higher education), Miguelina Acosta (Peruvian feminist, anarcho-syndicalist activist and, teacher who fought for women's rights, the Amazonian peoples, and the working class. She is the first female lawyer in Peru) and Christine de Pizan (Italian poet who made some of the earliest feminist writings. Her work includes novels and historical, philosophical, political, and religious analyses).

Aínbo, the name of the album, means “woman” in shipibo-conibo language.

The Covert art was made by Argentinian designer Sonia Cancinos.
